When testing the 2021 Yamaha fourstroke SuperJet, we found one of the biggest issues for the ski in stock form was a sluggish turning radius. Even with the bars turned to the stops, the ski doesn’t want to come around the corner very fast. So we came up with an affordable upgrade to alleviate this problem. This quicksteer kit is designed to vastly improve the turning radius of your ski without the need for aftermarket steering plates or complicated steering adjustments.
Our SuperJet steering nozzle quick steer plate is one of the easiest parts to install. This quickly upgrades your steering radius, allowing for more throw and quicker response from your ski.
This plate replaces the OEM ball stud on your nozzle and moves the new ball stud in closer to the nozzle, allowing for more responsive steering.
IMPORTANT: This part was designed to be run with the stock steering on the Yamaha fourstroke SuperJet, with the maximum steering adjustment being the hole furthest out (at the steering plate). Any kind of further adjustment or aftermarket steering beyond that could potentially put a load on the cable or stretch it. Anyone using aftermarket steering in conjunction with this part should be mindful of their cable and make sure their adjustments are not stretching the cable. The Yamaha stand ups are notorious for having short throw on the cable. Adjusting steering beyond installing the quicksteer kit can be a delicate task, if you are inexperienced with watercraft we recommend seeking out a mechanic. With the stock steering this jetski needs 1/2 the lake to turn around. If you move the steering ball to the factory quick steer position it gets very twitchy. With the pro watercraft quick steer plate and the steering cable ball pivot in the factory setting it turn’s very quickly and gets rid of the twitchy steering. Makes the machine much more enjoyable to ride. Very easy to install
